01 — PROBLEM SPACE DISCOVERY

The theme was broken into structured problem spaces grounded in market evidence, so the team could see where the real consumer pain sat before committing to any one direction.

02 — IDEA GENERATION & RANKING

A wide pipeline of venture ideas was generated across all seven spaces and then narrowed on scored criteria, so what was dropped was as defensible as what advanced.

03 — CONCEPT ENRICHMENT & LIVE PAGE GENERATION

Ten ideas were developed into full concepts, and three were given live, market-facing pages so real consumers could respond to them rather than to a description in a deck.

04 — SMOKE TESTING WITH REAL CONSUMERS

Intent-matched search traffic ran to all three pages over three weeks. The decision was made on what consumers did, not on what a panel said it would do.

What it proved

One strategic theme became seven mapped problem spaces, 200 ranked ideas, ten enriched concepts and three live consumer tests in about three weeks. The strongest of the three drew nearly 5,900 search impressions and 612 clicks across the test, and returned 47 real consumer sign-ups on under $1,000 of the company's own ad spend, at a blended $13.35 per lead. Cost per sign-up fell from $21.61 in the first week to $6.99 in the third as copy, keywords and audience were refined against live data, and conversion rose from 6.1% of visitors to 27% as the traffic narrowed to qualified search intent.

The spread mattered as much as the winner. One concept drew demand at roughly twelve times the winner's acquisition cost and one underperformed across the funnel, so the insurer came out with three distinct calls, advance, refine and deprioritise, each backed by observed behaviour rather than internal scoring. Internal team time across the whole testing window came to five or six hours. What the company kept was a tested messaging architecture and audience profile to start launch media from, a cohort of 47 consumers who had already registered real interest and could be taken into willingness-to-pay work without recruiting anyone, and a validation system that points at the next theme by changing its inputs.
